A Quick Note to All

We're sorry it's been a few days since our last post. We've been busy and our internet access has been limited. Go figure. Our time here in Maputo is closing and we're heading north to Inhambane tomorrow for a little change of scenery. We will send along a few more posts as we get more time to think about what we've been doing for the past 4 weeks.

Happy birthday to Paul Mann. We'll be ready to celebrate upon our return.

On our next post...
How a simple 24 hour adventure to South Africa can turn into an odyssey of oddities. Wildlife and exotic animals were abundant - and that was in a Nelspruit pub!

Enjoy a couple of photos of us doing stuff.

Those photos are fantastic - the kiddos clearly adore you both and it makes me happy inside. Also warm. While I enjoy seeing shots of you guys doing stuff, would it be so hard to occasionally put up a picture of you both doing things? Sheesh!

Oh, and before I put on my robe and depart for the study... We received a fantastic postcard of Mozambique elves making merry on a bar made of solid petunias. Apropos. We look forward to adventuring with you both - what a great thing to do...wheels turning...volunteerings...helping...

See you!

You two look so happy as do the children. What beautiful pictures! Also, please eat more...food, not children. You guys are getting too skinny! I am totally channeling my mother right now but whatever. Love you!

I loved the wonderful updates and pictures about your adventures. I sent the link around to the Portuguese class so they may enjoy it too. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back. You ARE coming back, aren't you??? From the look of things...

Erin, I expect you to conduct a class in Portuguese for us when you get back! If you come across any useful class materials(realia), pick them up for me - clinic sign in sheets, whatever you can find that might be useful.

Best wishes to you both for happy times and safe travels!

I am impressed. Despite being away for such a long period, FC Steuben has performed admirably and is currently in third place overall in the Charlottesville FC table. Kudos!

It looks to me like you have found the fountain of youth... in Mozambique, of all places. Ponce de Leon was looking on the wrong side of the Atlantic, apparently. Really, you both look so much younger; must be the good eating, sweating, and loving work you're doing.
Thanks for keeping us posted on your adventures. Let me know when you get back stateside, so we can catch up.
