Sunday Off

Folks, this post will be brief.
Sunday saw us at our first Mozambique-an church service delivered in Shangaan, Portuguese, and some English. Hot and a hoot. Beautiful voices, beautiful children, and a welcoming congregation.
Abbreviated notes:
1. Driving is not too hard here, but one must be aware of where the sun is relative to your arm hanging out of the windows. Erin's left arm and my right arm are thoroughly paired. Mike, we feel your pain.
2. We taught Shula how to drive her own car. Drove way out to the farm (to be defined in a later post) and gave her the wheel. No place to learn like the African bush. If we accomplish nothing else...
3. Children are almost always beautiful and willing to have staring contests.
4. Priya - It is most definitely "brown hot!" Farm work for tomorrow has been cancelled on account of the "Brown Hot" Advisory.
Chau for now.
We miss you all

I wonder if the brown hot advisory is normal or if the natives are seeing an increase in this kind of activity…

So glad to hear that you made it through your first week without too much misfortune! Seems your bad luck ran out rather quickly, thankfully. Someone's definitely watching out for you and repaying your good deeds.
Thanks for the updates. I could go for a brown hot advisory, but it looks like I'll settle for a windchill advisory!
Love you both! Sam ;)

Okay, couple thoughts from Mescarry...
1.My vote is that "anonymous" is Paul Mann
2.I don't know about Mozambique, but Cabana was brown hot last Friday night
3.I had a fabulous day at a spa thanks to erin and priya-thank you my friend! Best bday gift EVER!!
I hope that stealing shirts off backs and having starring contests with our fine Swahili cousins continues to delight-I love reading about your trip but already miss you tons. The bed bugs from Meharry send their love, as do I. xoxo, j

When you think the hot is too much just meditate on our newly arrived snow and 6 degree temperature. It may help chill you. Thank you for keeping us posted with your activities. Stay well and safe.

Greetings, friends. I am both glad and enchanted to hear your stories of intrigue, kind-heartedness, wanderlust, and inspiring endeavours. Pardon the recent silence in this space, we were in Orlando training for the both Nashville half-marathon and the Great Dunmow trial and have returned unscathed and unbathed.

We are back now, and yes, I can gladly attest to J's responsible driving informing all nearby motorists of his directional intent by cleaning the windshield.

Keep up the good work and keep sharing the stories. Grace, love and peace my friends.

I'm out like Tom and Cruise.

"Howdy pardners." How's the Hot Brown... no that's an open face roast beef sandwich, I mean the brown hot? I remember when my kids were babies and we had brown hots in their diapers but that was a different story altogether.

You've only been there a week and you are already going to birthday parties and making the social scene. Jeff, when you got the t-shirt in the wrong size was that because you took the shirt off the guy's back or did he just send you the wrong size? Anyway, I am very glad that the community is so welcoming to you all. I'll continue to pray for you all and for the work that you guys will be doing for them. It is great to keep seeing fresh blogs coming up. Take care.

Bill
